Codroy Valley and beyond

We went exploring and got on a road going nowhere that was the old railroad. The rails have been taken up and gravel put down over it. We found out later that this was not open except for atv's and hiking. Oh well! It was a great drive right next to the coast and lead up to Cape Ray and this beach.

Below is one of the many fishing villages that comprise the area. This is Burnt Islands.

We're having a great time exploring and enjoying the people. There's lighthouses everywhere and if I posted every one of them it would take up the entire blog. The people are great and if you ask, they will tell you any thing you want to know. A trip down the road to look at another beautiful view may end up taking an hour instead of 15 minutes, because someone is always ready to talk. We love it here.

  1. Actually the photo is of "Rose Blanche" not "Burnt Islands." Appears like you shot it from the Restaurant there called "The Friendly Fisherman Cafe."
