Mammoth Cave

After Dee's, we headed up thru Memphis and Nashville to Park City, Kentucky. Hope of the Mammoth Cave National Park. This is the longest known cave in the world. We took the Grand Avenue Tour that was 4 miles long and considered steneous. You cross what they call the Grand Canyon, walk through narrow slits and climb Mt. McKinley. It was great exercise and a big cavern, but there were very few formations in comparison to Karchner Caverns. Enjoyed the tour and the people. Stayed at the RPI Park, Diamond Caverns RV Resort. Nice and convenient to the caves. Lots of things to do in this area. We took the jeep out and toured the National Park that Mammoth Caves is in. It's hugh and beautiful. One thing different is that there are several Ferry's that you have to cross when driving or hiking in the park.
