Family and Friends

Well, I had my surgery last Tuesday, Aug. 9 and am doing great.  No problems, but will have to wait until next Monday, Aug. 22th for a release from the Doctor before I’ll know when I can get back on the pickleball.  The weather’s been great, but still cool unless you are in the total sun.  On Sunday, we met over at Craig and Jen’s for lunch. Tim came over also.  He’s doing great since his back surgery 3 weeks ago.     After that over to visit Bob’s Mom.  She was asleep in front of the TV.  It seems she’s sleeping a lot more than in the recent past.  I hope she’s ok.  Then over to Betty and Larry Silver’s for the party for Chuck & Keren Zurbriggen.  They won the bid for the time with Betty and Larry from the Silent Auction last year.  Mark gave them private lessons before we got there.  It was a Happy Trails reunion with Chuck and Keren, the Jacques’, the Birdsells’, the Phipps’, the Murphys’, the Brownings’, Marlene Perry and Rich, the Dueys’, the Hardings’, the Nolans’, a

    I know it’s been almost a month since me last post, there’s really not much going on.  Due to no pickleball and mostly bad weather, we sort of just vegged until we moved to LaConner on the 18th of July. Bob was able to play pickleball with some of the regulars at LaConner. Joanne Browning came over a couple of mornings.  Rick and Linda (Linda is a ranger at Palm Springs during the winter Months) were there with Cindy and Phil, Dottie and Al, Dick and Bev, and some others.  I’m still not able to play due to a torn meniscus in my left knee.  I thought that my pain this summer was from weather and just old age, but I must have injured it since one morning when I went out for my regular walk, it was hurting worse and didn’t let up after getting it warmed up, just got worse so that I couldn’t do anything that didn’t hurt bad. The doctor that did my right knee 10 years ago was able to see me and after an MRI will be doing surgery on Aug. 9th.  So even though the biopsy on my left calf
