Jamaica South Coast Sandals Resort and Thanksgiving in Houston

So after getting organized and settling in, we head out on November 16th for a week with friends in the Pickleball World.  Gail Scoggins organized this trip and I would recommend any one who is interested in one of her trips, take it.  We were never in the dark as to what was going on.  Great week.  We only played pickleball a couple of times, but there were plenty of opportunities. Bob and I wanted to snorkel, snorkel and more snorkel plus a zip line and waterfalls adventure.  Got there on Saturday, Nov 16th. Sandals South Coast was great, service in some of the restaurants was slow, but man, you're on Jamaica Time!  Relax and enjoy!

Beautiful Sunsets!

Gorgeous Beaches

Relaxing Times

Great trip, but now we have to leave.  On Thursday night, there was a White Night and a group photo of the whole group.

Now, for the first time in about 8 years, Bob and I flew from Jamaica to Houston to spend Thanksgiving with my family.  Dee and John were able to drive down from Texarkana, TX to stay in the condo we rented, 2 bedrooms, for 3 nights.  Had a great time with Dee and John and got to see most of my nieces and nephews.  And of course, my sisters and their spouses.  But of course, Jamaica was an all inclusive, too much to eat and drink, and then we had 2 Thanksgivings with the family.  Need to get home to detox.

Should of done the Blog as soon as I got home, can't remember the new additions to the family.  Missed seeing the other family members, but maybe next time. It was really great to spend time with everyone and have a family holiday.

After getting home, of course, we had to decorate for Christmas.  Between Pickleball and parties, it's been a busy Dec.   We joined the local gym, EOS, in October and have been religious about working out, even in Jamaica and Houston.  After the first of the year, it's diet time too.  I had the group of women that play with me on Saturdays over to decorate cookies.  This was on Dec. 7th after play.

Some took it serious and others, Well

They just relaxed.  Bob and I took the cookies to the fire station down the street for their treat.

My House
Next, on Dec. 20th, Nancy and Wayne Muggli had an early Christmas party with Prime Rib before they flew off to Seattle for Christmas.  Oh so Good!
Our neighbors, Sue and Dom

Old time friends, Ron and Donna

Nancy

Nancy's Husband, Geoff

Carol Lee

The four of us, Nancy and Wayne and the elfs

Marge and Al Hall
Some of the same were at our house on Christmas Day.  Ron and Donna, Nancy and Geoff, but with John and Pat Irwin, Dennis and Bunny Duey, Lynn and Linda Layman and  Harolyn and Don Walker.  Off course like always, I didn't get time to take pictures.  We had a great meal and made everyone take leftovers so I wouldn't be tempted.  Last night, I hope was the last eating celebration of the year.  Plan on New Years being relaxed with just a few friends for drinks and maybe cards. Not sure yet!   But we have to get ready to start a new year with a trip to Aruba on Jan. 4th, 2020.

Wishing all of you a HAPPY NEW YEARS!  May each of you have good health and lots of fun and love.
