Now in Prince Edward Island

Well, I've got some updating to do. I hope I cover it all since it's been so marvelous. After we left Bar Harbor, we headed for Eastport, ME. This was on the 22nd of June. There we stayed in Seaview RV Park. Right on the water, but I guess I have to get used to that. Eastport is the most eastern city of the continental USA. As with the majority of this trip so far, most everything is closed in town since we are too early in the season. We did have a good day with only occasional rain. We also toured Lubec which is the eastern most town. There the Quoddy Lighthouse is the most famous lighthouse, being the eastern most lighthouse in the USA.

The flowers and scenery is great. Also, the total atmosphere of the people. It's really friendly. Here's where I had the first lobster of the trip.
This was great and I throught a really good deal at $17.95 us.

On the 24th, we entered Canada. We had heard horror tales of getting past customs into Canada. It was a total sham. They didn't even stop us except to ask what we were bringing in and why we were there. It took a total of 10 minutes to clear customs. We had worked so hard to cook all our unlabeled meat and drink all of our wine. We headed up to Bay of Fundy, on the way we saw our first whales of the season. Of course, there was no place to pull over and we didn't get any pictures, but it brightened another gloomy day. We got in pretty early and had time to relax and look around to plan the next day. Getting up the next morning, we started the day at the Visitor's Center and then decided to hike the Coastal Trail, 6.9 km one way. ( Figures round trip about 8 miles.) This is getting easier to figure the longer we're here. We started about one hour after low tide and returned right at High Tide. In the Bay of Fundy, the tides are really extreme.

Our campsite at the Fundy National Park is like really camping. It's in the woods and way off the road. We finally had clear skies. After the hike on the 2nd day, we decided to take several short hikes, looking for moose. We found moose tracks and moose droppings, but alas, no moose. I will still be on the lookout for the elusive creature on the rest of our trip.
I can't begin to post all the pictures and give all the details on this blog, but I'll be glad to give to details to anyone who would like more.
On Saturday, we headed to Prince Edward Island. This is absolutely one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. Not just because it's sunny and warm, but the air is pristine. The views are like looking at perfect jigsaw puzzles. The colors and shapes of the fields and flowers are just perfect. We were only going to be here for 2 nights, but have decided to take the Wood Island ferry across to Nova Scotia and save around 70 miles so we'll be able to stay one more night.
