Thunderbird in Monroe, WA
Well we made it across Stephens Pass to Monroe and to the Leisure Time Park there. Got here on the 28th and since we were able to get full hookups and satellite ( a luxury in this park) we’ve decided to stay 2 weeks. It’s only about 15 miles from Bob’s Mom so we can visit her and take care of business. It’s about 30 miles to the nearest indoor court, but since the park is small (I can walk all the park twice going up and down the streets in 30 minutes) we have to go to get exercise.
First business was going to see Mom and taking her to get some blood tests at the Clinic. After a little ride, it was back to the home to check out her TV. It died.
Thursday we went to Meadow Brook to play Pickleball. Had a big group including Dennis, Bunny, Betty Silver, Lela Reed, Shirley Sikes, Carole Myers, Frank, Fran, Kris and Ted Koch and others we had met last year. The weather is off and on with mostly off. Had lunch with some of the group then to Sam’s to buy a new TV. Friday was rain, but Saturday was nice. Tim, Bob’s Brother-in-law and Craig, his nephew, came over for fajitas.
Sunday was rain, but the 4th was beautiful.
Betty and Larry Silver had a group over for hamburgers and hotdogs. Played some Pickleball.
and blew some bubbles.
Just enjoyed good times with lots of friends.
Even had the Betty’s grandkids there for a while.
and then some of us that act like kids.
and of course, the cook.
The 5th was just as pretty, and we played indoors at Yessler . A big group was also there.
On the 6th, it was beautiful ( you have to realize, beautiful is sunny and maybe above 75) so we took Mom to see Snoqualmie Falls for an outing and to lunch. With the amount of snow here last year, the falls was really flowing.
Now Wednesday was forecast as partly cloudy, but all we saw was cloudy and rain. Had a dermatologist appointment that morning and she decided I needed a biopsy done on a spot on my leg. So Thursday, still raining, I went back for the procedure, then over to Dennis and Bunny’s to go to lunch. After lunch we played some Mexican Train.
Now it’s Friday and still raining, the bad news is that because of the stitches from the biopsy, I can’t play pickleball for 2 weeks. If the rain doesn’t stop, I’ll go crazy. I’ll get the results in 2 weeks also.
