It's been awhile, but we're back on the road again, so hopefully I'll stay up to date on my blog.

My last blog left us going to Aruba over Thanksgiving. Bob and Susie Walls went with us, we had a great time. On one day, we visited de Palm Island. There we rode the Banana boat.

We also snorkeled. This is a preserve for the Parrot Fish. The water park was a blast. With multiple slides and water features.

After we got home, it was hit the road running, getting ready for all the tournaments and catching up with friends. For Christmas, we had 4 couples over for dinner, Bob and Suzie Walls, Don and Harolyn Walker, Carl and Juanita Vinson, and Dennis and Bunny Duey. Lots of good food and drinks. After dinner, more couples came over to play games. Ron and Donna Daly and Norm and Marty Walters. Nancy and Geoff Justiss stopped by to visit. Being away from family doesn't mean you are alone.

On New Years Day, we had over 60 people at our place for Breakfast. Wayne and Nancy came back from a camping trip to Lake Pleasant just to help cook. It was a rather simple breakfast, only had bacon, sausage links, waffles, apple cinnamon pancakes, scambled eggs with biscuits. What a way to start the New Year.

Then came the Happy Trails Classic. First of the larger tournaments. Fran Myer was my partner and Randy Johnson was my mixed doubles partner. Didn't win, but had a great time. You can go to www.htpickleball.org to see pictures and all the results. ASO was the end of Feb. Lots of fun, played with Fran again and even though we didn't win, we played well and had fun.

In March we started planning for next year's games. Not going to be ASO, but the Grand Canyon State Games. ASO has no support and may not even make. Pickleball had 350 participants and keeps growing. GCSG has both summer and winter games and was very glad to have us come onboard.

Our neighbors, Dom and Sue Ambrosino started building their "Az room" next door. Were able to see and help them get the first floor framed before we left. Now you're up to date.
